The Assistant Director of Research provides support for the fundraising programs and activities of the College. Responsibilities include: identify potential donors; conduct wealth and philanthropic analysis; prepare materials for personal solicitations by the President, VP for Resources, Trustees, and other senior staff and volunteers. Assist with records management projects and exploration of emerging technologies and research techniques. Collaborate with gift officers to identify, qualify, and track prospective donors and maintain clear channels of communication. As a key member of the Research team, contribute to team building and achievement of departmental goals.
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in development research. Demonstrated writing, research and analytical skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required. Knowledge of a wide array of information resources including financial, business, legal, governmental, biographical, genealogical, database and internet. Demonstrated understanding of the critical importance of sound judgment, discretion, and ethical behavior. Experience with Banner, Excel, Access, highly desirable. Must be able to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
