The Assistant Director assists the Director and Associate Director in the administration of all financial aid programs administered by the University and is specifically responsible for the coordination and administration of all Federal financial aid programs including Direct Lending, Federal Grants, CAMPUS-BASED, and Alternative Loans. Responsible for fund management of The Federal Perkins Loan and SEOG programs.
Monitor and update the term based non-attendance/Blackboard information. Reviews Pre-cancellation Reports and makes recommendation to the Controllers' Office.
Manage Debt Management and Default Prevention Program. This position is responsible for awarding a certain population of students, reviewing satisfactory progress and professional judgments as assigned.

Master's degree and two years' experience in the administration of financial aid; or Bachelor's degree and four years of experience, two of which must be in the administration of financial aid required.
The incumbent must have excellent administrative abilities, communication skills both verbal and written and analytical capacity as well as in-depth knowledge and understanding of financial aid philosophy, rules and regulations.
Prior supervisory experience required.
