Assistant Director, Student Involvement and Leadership
    Rollins College, Winter Park, FL

    The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership provides learning opportunities that prepare students for responsible leadership and global citizenship. The Assistant Director advances the Rollins mission of responsible leadership by creating and implementing a strategic vision for leadership education through a student involvement lens. By collaborating with faculty and staff partners across the college community, this position develops ongoing intentional workshops and programs and coordinates international leadership experiences for students.

    Implement campus-wide leadership development initiatives including but not limited to:
    • Bornstein Student Leadership Forum
    • Rhoda Newberry Reed Leadership Education Grant
    • Leadership Ally Program
    • Bonner Leaders Program
    • Coordinate the Annual Student Leadership Awards Banquet
    • Assess learning outcomes and program evaluation
    Research and utilize leadership development models/frameworks and trends including but not limited to:
    • Emotionally Intelligent Leadership
    • Leadership Identity Development Model
    • Relational Leadership Model
    • Servant Leadership and Service-Learning
    • Situational Leadership
    • Social Change Model of Leadership Development
    • StrengthsQuest
    • Transformational Leadership
    • Maintain operational budget and leadership donor grants
    • Support OSIL events and initiatives (Fraternity and Sorority Life, Campus Events, Student Organizations, etc.)
    • Supervise graduate assistant(s) and undergraduate intern(s)
    • Serve as a member on campus-wide committees
    • Provide a safe and secure workplace

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Masters Degree in student personnel, leadership, counseling, higher education, or a related field
    • 1-3 years of related experience
    • Knowledge of student development and advising practices
    • Significant knowledge and research of student leadership identity models and theories
    • Effective facilitation, communication, supervision, and program development skills
    • Assessment methods and the LEAP learning outcomes
    • Relationship builder with constituents
    • Understanding of small, private, residential liberal arts college
