The Public Employee Benefits Cooperative of North Texas (PEBC), is seeking an Assistant Director to join its team. The Public Employee Benefits Cooperative of North Texas (PEBC) helps generate savings in its employee health-benefits program on behalf of its participating member groups. The PEBC also provides many services, including joint purchase of employee benefits and cost-effective, centralized administration.

This position will assist the PEBC Executive Director and provide leadership in operations management and oversight of the PEBC. Duties will include plan analysis/direction, project management, data and impact analysis, impact and cost/benefit analysis, communications, vendor management, annual enrollment and other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Required Skills

The position requires advanced knowledge of employee benefit plan management, including the legal and regulatory requirements of DOL, IRS, COBRA, and HIPAA security and privacy requirements along with current and up-to-date Affordable Care Act knowledge. The successful candidate must have advanced verbal and written communication skills. Strict adherence to confidentiality rules is also required.

Required Experience

Work requires professional level knowledge which is, at a minimum, equivalent to that acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree along with five to eight years of significant senior-level management experience with employee benefit plans, medical plans and eligibility management as well as applicable regulatory and legal requirements. Experience with account based health plans (HDHP/HSA) is a plus.
