Full-time position, twelve months per year. The principal function of this position is to assist the Director of Buildings and Grounds in the management of operational, financial, and personnel activities relative to the custodial operation for the Jamestown Campus from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Fridays. Involved with hiring. Does evaluations, training, scheduling and supervision of custodial personnel. Assists in development of operating budget. Determines equipment and supply needs. Completes requisitions for purchasing of equipment and supplies. Responsible for the assignment and supervision of overtime. Monitor quality/quantity of work by custodial personnel. Assume some cleaning responsibilities in the absence of crewmembers. Inspect facilities for safety and cleanliness. Periodically conduct time and method studies. Prepare work orders for maintenance and monitor building equipment. Responsible for the cleanliness of all buildings (interior and exterior). Snow removal with plow. Minor evening maintenance repairs as needed. Monitor security after 5:00 p.m. Parking enforcement (evenings). On-call for off duty hours and emergencies.
Required: Associate's Degree. Four (4) years of related experience and extensive knowledge of custodial operations. Three years supervisory experience. Must possess: excellent oral and interpersonal/human relations skills, commitment to providing excellent customer service, problem solving, budget management, leadership, and organizational skills.
Must be able to: coordinate and develop complex documents; read and apply laws, rules, and regulations; plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects in a team setting. Attention to detail and accuracy. Valid driver's license.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
Salary Range: $43,343 - $48,765, salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus excellent benefits package.
