The Assistant Director for the Center for Multicultural Education and Programs will plan and implement educational training and mentoring programs focusing on diversity issues for the entire University community. Assist Director with the hiring and professional development for full-time, graduate and undergraduate student employee staff. Oversee the unit's assessment plan and development of programming budget for all staff.
Masters' degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education or Social Science.
5 years' relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience working with a diverse student population, developing training and mentoring programs, coordinating professional development and providing advisement.
Experience working with students in a college or university setting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Ability to solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Experience supervising and developing staff, developing and managing budgets, and administering a mentorship program. Knowledge of media and presentation software.
