Our unique, non profit childcare center circa 1972 is currently seeking a full-time ( 35 hrs) Assistant Director for our busy year round program of 80 children ( infants- preschool)and 31 staff. We have recently moved into a beautiful new building that offers rich learning spaces for the entire community. We consider ourselves "Guardians of Childhood." The Assistant Director plays a vital role to work in a collabortive spirit to manage the daily operations of the center which meets DEEC regulations and NAEYC high standards.
Management of enrollment and children's files, monthly tuition billing and collection, preparation of bi-weekly payroll, administration of employee benefits and accurate business files, serves as an active ( non-voting) Board and Committee member and attends all staff meetings and center wide events.
Must be DEEC Director II certified
Bachelors Degree is ECE or related field desired ( finance/business background is a plus)
Minimum of 3 years relevant adm/teaching experience
Working knowledge of DEEC and NAEYC
Excellent Written and verbal communication skills
Professional demeanor with tact, warmth and follow-through
Proficient computer skills
Strong organizational and problem solving skills
Abilty to multi- task and prioritize efficiently
