Fundraises by developing corporate/private sector partnerships and securing grants that lead to investments in STEM Council programs; contributes to STEM Council operations by leading committees, supervising and reviewing administrative staff performance, and integrating development work with other facets of Council administration; and supports the efforts of the program manager and the communications specialist with development activities, including budget, operation, event, and communication planning.
Bachelor's degree in a science, mathematics, or technical field or business, public relations, marketing, organizational communication, or related field required.
At least five years of experience in a professional setting such as academic or private sector administration and/or management required. Demonstrated success in securing grants and private sector donations; excellent oral and written communication skills; experience leading committees; an ability to problem solve and build consensus; budgeting and supervisory experience; and experience collaborating with a diverse constituent group also required.
Master’s degree and experience in social media communications, website development, public speaking, and event planning preferred.
