The Division of Student Life at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Director of Administrative Services. This is an exempt, 12 month, full-time, non-tenure track, staff position in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Life. The position reports to and assists the Director of Administrative Services in the coordination and oversight of technology within the Division of Student Life. The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Life provides strategic planning and administrative oversight for the following departments: Parents Association, Multicultural Student Life, Career Services, Student Counseling Center, Office of the Dean of Students, University Housing, Student Health Center, RecSports, University Center, Student Activities, Sorority and Fraternity Life, Student Judicial Affairs, Orientation and Leadership Development, Disability Services, Student Publications, and the S.E.E. Serve as primary technical support for users within the Division; Assist in maintaining all software packages installed throughout the Division (e.g. electronic medical records, Microsoft operating system and suite, adobe, student conduct software); Coordinate and assist in the purchase and setup of new hardware and software for the Division; Serve as liaison between the Division of Student Life and the Office of Information Technology; Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of the Division's websites; Stay current on developing technologies that may affect the operation of the Division and propose system enhancements; Oversee the annual movable equipment inventory report; Supervise one graduate assistant Serve on various campus committees; Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Administrative Services. Skills:
Earned bachelor's or equivalent; 3 years experience in the area of technology support; Strong working knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite applications; Experience working with any of the following - PHP, Oracle, SEQUEL, Active Directory; Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, and problem solving skills; Commitment to the values of cultural and ethnic diversity.
Earned master's degree or equivalent; 5 years experience in the area of technology support; Experience implementing third party softwares; Experience with interfacing Banner with third party softwares; Experience working with electronic medical records software; Experience in web development; Experience working in a college/university environment. SALARY :
$50,000 - $55,000 commensurate with experience and other qualifications.
