General Summary of Duties :
Under administrative direction of the Director of Information Technology, plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs the activities of a major division of the Information Technology Department to introduce improved efficiencies and effectiveness; implements and monitors policy compliance; applies sound management principles to build and maintain an effective workforce; acts on behalf of the department head in his/her absence.

Typical Physical/Mental Demands :
Requires mobility. Requires prolonged sitting. Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors. Ability to push and/or pull a file cabinet weighing five to fifteen pounds. Travel may be required.

Typical Working Conditions :
Work is performed in an office environment. Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.

Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following) :

Design, install, and support information technology computer network.

Managing security PCI compliance for the hotel.

Test and integrate network applications and devices.

Lead a team of Infrastructure engineer and security and server infrastructure.

Assisting Director with Operational management issues.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Performance Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities) :
Ability to read, write, and understand English for the purpose of safety, management direction and job responsibility, interaction with guests.

Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management and staff.

Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills.

Knowledge and understanding of industry standards pertaining to information technology network systems.

Ability to operate copier, fax, computer, telephone, and other office equipment.

Education :
Bachelors degree or combination of 4 years relevant education and experience.

Experience :
Minimum of three (3) years experience as a Network Engineer in a high volume, complex casino environment.

License/Certificate :
Nortel or Cisco industry certifications preferred.

Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and Network+ certification preferred.
