Founded in 1881, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) is a private, independent institution with academic programs and research activities spanning the full spectrum of pharmacy, health sciences and arts and sciences. ACPHS students pursue a wide range of career pathways in health related fields through degree programs in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical technology, and health and human sciences. More than 1,700 students are enrolled at the College’s main campus located in the heart of the Capital District in Albany, New York, and approximately 240 students are currently enrolled at a new satellite campus in Colchester, Vermont.
Reporting to the Associate Director, the Assistant Director will actively recruit and manage the candidate pool for the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Primary responsibilities will include recruitment travel, community presentations, campus event coordination, and active outreach to achieve projected enrollment goals. The Assistant Director will work closely with faculty to review academic credentials and interview prospective students for campus locations located in Albany, NY and Colchester, VT.
Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of three to five years of recruiting or related experience required; direct experience in a sales environment is highly preferred. Experience recruiting for health professions programs a plus. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; familiarity with the small private college environment; ability to work collaboratively to actively cultivate and manage an applicant pool; track record of achieving goals; high proficiency in technology; enthusiasm, willingness and ability to work evenings/weekends. A valid driver’s license is required.
