Landmark College, the college of choice for students who learn differently, is seeking an Assistant Director of Recreation and Outdoor Programs (AD), reporting to the Director of Athletics and Recreation.
The AD is responsible for the development and execution of student recreational programs, intramural programs, outdoor programs and facilities, operational management of the Click Family Sports Center, and managing all publicity and marketing for the Athletics, Fitness & Recreation department. The AD shall utilize best practices in their work, incorporate an innovative approach to serving students, build relationships with multiple constituencies, and shall be guided by the College's strategic goals, most importantly those pertaining to wellness.
Qualifications: Bachelor' Degree in Recreation, Adventure Education, Sports Management, Physical Education or related field, or five years' experience. Technological ability in the areas of web content updating, social media use, and materials publications. Ability to organize and manage multiple projects, conduct long-term planning, scheduling, and project development. Certified ropes course and rock climbing instructor or ability to gain certification within 6 months of hire and experience leading outdoor activities and intramural sports. Knowledge or ability to learn sports rules such as, volleyball, basketball, kickball, dodge ball, broomball, floor hockey, softball, ultimate Frisbee, etc. Experience working with students with learning disabilities is preferred, CPR/First Aid & AED teaching certification or ability to gain certification within 6 months of hire. Clean driving record and the ability to become certified to drive student shuttles.
