The College of Nursing is seeking an assistant director of simulation to oversee the simulation activities of students in the Clinical Simulation Learning Center (CSLC) with a particular focus on master's students in clinical programs use of high fidelity patient simulators and standardized patients at the CSLC as well as NYSIM Center at Bellevue Center. The Assistant Director will assist with the day to day operation of the CSLC including undergraduate students as needed as well as the faculty teaching students in at the CSLC and NYSIM Center.
Master's Degree in nursing with a current RN License and New York State Nurse Practitioner registration and national NP certification.
Minimum of 3+ years of clinical experience as an NP and some teaching experience including precepting graduate students and/or teaching undergraduate students in off-campus clinical on campus clinical simulation experiences.
Teaching on-campus simulation is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Willingness to learn new technologies, ability to work in a dynamic high paced environment, flexibility to work varying days/evening/weekends related to implementing simulation in the graduate curriculum. Knowledge of audio/video equipment and simulation software.
