Job Summary/Basic Function

Coordinate and implement strategies and activities designed to enhance the overall educational experience and involvement of students through the development of: social, leadership, service learning, community involvement, intellectual, recreational, athletic, governance, and diversity programs. Coordinates and monitors the delivery of student life programming and activities for the assigned campus and works with the Regional Director of Student Life, Development and Leadership to coordinate and promote regional Student Life programming.

Duties/Responsibilities

Implements Student Life programs, activities and events including, but not limited to: social, educational, recreational, athletic, leadership, and diversity areas at the assigned campus, as well for regional activities through the Office of Student Life. Provides regional leadership in one of the core functional areas as determined by the Regional Director of Student Life, Development and Leadership. These areas are: student governance, student leadership, general student programming, service engagement, recreation/wellness, student organizations, and multicultural/diversity programming. Serves as the primary advisor for the campus Student Government Association (SGA) and Campus Activities Board (CAB). Recruits and trains student officers and ensures SGA and CAB involvement from all formalized student organizations on campus. Monitors the SGA, CAB, and other student organization budgets and expenditure processes. Administers policies and procedures related to travel, necessary funds, distribution of money to programs at the assigned campus. Assesses the program needs of students at the assigned campuses. Contributes content for student publications and media for dissemination of information about student activities in the Northwest region. Implements student activities each semester (including the summer term) that comply with collegewide student life initiatives, assisting CAB officers with coordination and implementation of said events. Attends campus CAB events and regional student life events. May serve as a college-approved driver for SGA, CAB, and other student events. Attends new student orientations to distribute relevant materials and convey information about student life, student organizations, and upcoming activities. Serves as the campus contact and recruiter for Student Leadership Academy (SLA). Assists the Regional Director of Student Life, Development and Leadership with the coordination of SLA meetings as needed. The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. Demonstrated experience with student government, student activities, leadership development or other student organizations, either as an advisor or as a student officer, is required. Computer literacy and orientation toward creative uses of technology in the delivery of services for students are required. Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; be self-motivated and self-directed, innovative and creative. Strong time management, conflict resolution and multi-tasking skills are essential. Valid driver's license required, and be insurable under the College's authorized driver criteria.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in counseling, student personnel, adult or higher education, or other related discipline preferred. The skills and ability to apply fiscal and budget knowledge are strongly desired.
