Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general direction of the Senior Director of Marketing and Public Relations, this individual researches, guides, innovates and governs web communication technologies, standards and their strategic usage at CNM.
Oversees web content creation and budget through implementation of tools to track and triage requests. Reviews and approves website content as needed and supervises Web Manager and members of content and design team for web. Co-Manages with ITS web technology decisions, functioning, research and strategic implementation by tracking web performance as well as industry trends. Initiates and manages website system enhancements as needed. Implements, manages and communicates process and methodology specific to web projects at CNM.
Guides, shapes and forces web standards as approved by the Web Oversight Committee and reviews content while addressing remediation as needed. Will recommend changes to approved standards based on ongoing research. Organizes, authors and conducts web training for new publishers and content administrators, while delegating to the Web Manager as needed. Implements training evaluation plan and reports to Oversight Committee on performance metrics. Organize Web Oversight Committee through scheduling meetings, setting agenda topics, nominating new members and ensuring appropriate follow through of committee items.
Researches web technologies, tools, best practices and standards including social media tools. Creates and maintains a three (3) year road map and budget for web technology and communication tools at CNM, including scheduled upgrades, redesigns and replacements. Researches, implements and communicates results of web traffic analysis and usability testing of CNM websites and applications and acting as the college's in-house web usability resource.
Acts as a steward and advocate of web standards and best practices at CNM by presenting regularly to staff meetings and committees trends within the CNM websites. Performs and tracks gap analysis on industry standards, incorporating relevant elements into a three (3) year road map. Directs, coordinates and evaluates assigned staff. Interviews, hires and evaluates employees; plans, assigns and directs work; arranges training and professional development; addresses and resolves problems and provides leadership and motivation of employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field (or in progress), relevant education or certification in web or Computer Science related technology or management and five (5) to seven (7) years' experience related to web development, of which at least three (3) years was in a supervisory capacity, with budgetary experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript; understanding of web standards including accessibility standards; strong analytical skills to perform complex research and analysis.

Ability to: supervise employees; manage projects and related project budgets; prioritize work and meet deadlines; read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from
customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

Ability to effectively present information on top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with a diverse employee/client population.

Preferences:
Experience managing web publishing in an enterprise environment; Working knowledge of web design best practices and industry standards. Effective communication skills in translating technology technology to terms understandable by diverse groups, strong documentation skills and policy and procedure writing. Ability to: Maintain knowledge of rapidly changing industry trends and standards.

Work Schedule::
This is an Exempt position requiring a minimum of forty (40) hours per week 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Schedule may vary depending on the needs of the College. This position is currently based at Main Campus; however, location changes and travel will occur depending on the needs of the College.
