      Hotel Overview: Be a part of the historic castle on the park, The Plaza, A Fairmont Managed hotel, a timeless landmark capturing memories since 1907.       Summary of Responsibilities:
      Reporting to the Director of Front Office, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
      • Assist the Director of Front Office in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
      • Provide managerial support for Guest Reception, Royal Service, Guest Services in the daily operational duties for these areas
      • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
      • Ensure proper staffing and scheduling of all Front Office colleagues in accordance to productivity guidelines
      • Train and fulfill training role in the absence of the trainer
      • Ensure inter-departmental communication and cooperation in the interest of better guest satisfaction
      • Develop visionary proposals aimed at improving service climate, colleague moral, and shareholder return
      • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
      • Ensure guest satisfaction through proper recovery process
      • Communicate through pre-shift logs, emails and departmental meetings all pertinent information for the respective shift and areas of operation
      • Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
      • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
      • Other duties as assigned
      Qualifications:
      Previous supervisor/management experience in Front Office operations
      • Experience managing in a union environment an asset
      • Proficiency in English (verbal and written), second language an asset
      • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
      • Must be passionate about guest services
      • Must possess a professional presentation
      • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
      • Highly responsible & reliable
      • Proven ability to guide and coach team members
      • An operational knowledge and proficiency in Front Office Systems-Property Manager and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
      • Excellent leadership, written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
      • Highly organized, career and result oriented with the ability to be flexible with hours, days off, assignment and additional duties.
