Provides legal support for all lending transactions to which the Bank is a party, provides support to the Bank's special assets department and provides general legal advice to various banking units. Primary responsibility for managing all bank outside counsel relationships.

Essential Job Functions:
Structures, negotiates, drafts, reviews and analyzes loan documents and purchase and sales agreements, and related transactional documents (i.e., lease agreements, real estate listing agreements and contractor agreements).
Provides legal advice and researches legal issues related to bank lending and asset collection matters as required.
Amends loan documents and other bank agreements as required.
Coordinates the engagement of outside legal counsel to assist with complex collection efforts. Oversees all invoices associated the engagement of outside counsel, and provides monthly reporting of outside counsel activities.
Works directly with outside third parties and/or their counsel, as well as internal business units to protect the Bank's contractual, business, and legal interests.

2 years experience in a law firm or a bank legal department is essential with lending and collection experience preferred. In-depth financial services experience and knowledge of technology, privacy, and bank regulatory matters is preferred.
Excellent organizational, legal, analytical, communication, negotiation, drafting and legal writing skills are required.
The ideal candidate will have a high sense of urgency and the ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment, as well as the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet firm deadlines.
The ability to interact well with internal senior management and external contacts, including outside counsel and bank regulators is essential.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school required.
In good standing of the mandatory state bar of at least one U.S. State and authorized to practice law in that state.
