The Assistant Graphics Designer provides assistance with the development of packaging, collateral and product branding for all Private Brands. Works closely with Sr. Designer to understand direction for the season with market reseach.
This position will focus on apparel design & clearly understands graphics design, (creating artwork, layouts, placement, repeats & colors).
Execute design process for a given brand/season from conceptualization to in-store
Must be able to design/create compelling graphics artwork for Athletic's brands, Contributes to team effort to presenting a clear direction as we build the brands.
Manages integrity of brand images by delivering appropriate point-of-difference design through collaboration with design peers, brand management, product management, merchants and vendors in line with the brand profile.
Introduces new creative vision and key designs to keep the brand fresh and relevant in the marketplace.
Communicate among internal design, external design partners, brand management, merchants, sourcing, marketing and vendors to drive effective and efficient development.
Must be able to build/ update seasonal cad boards to assist in delivering vision for the season.
Must be able to work in a fast pace environment to meet deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design field required
4 years of design experience
Strong computer knowledge
Strong eye for color
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop programs.
Strong typography skills
Must know how to create repeats of artwork
Strong design skills, including sketching, conceptualization, ideation, color and digital design.
Ability to design from strategic briefs and around concepts and to clearly articulate design vision.
