Job Title: Assistant Grill Restaurant Manager
Division: Clubhouse

Reports To: Grill Restaurant Manager

SUMMARY: Provide leadership for the staff ensuring a quality experience for both members and staff while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

EXPECTATIONS:
  • Provide platinum service while maintaining a clean and safe environment for members, guests, and staff
  • Know and embrace the mission statement and platinum service basics
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures
  • Operate point-of-sale computer system
  • Instruct and train staff on point-of-sale computer system
  • Maintain inventory of supplies
  • Schedule employees and complete payroll time sheets
  • Assist the Westhampton Grill Manager with coaching, counseling, recognizing, and rewarding staff
  • Design and implement training and incentive programs
  • Attend CCV Professional Development Seminars
  • Attend supervisory meetings and service/production meetings to share ideas and concerns
  • Manage in absence of Westhampton Grill Manager
  • Evaluate present operations and develop new ideas for the future
  • Facilitate Grill supervisory meetings and line-ups
  • Provide Grill information for Club Columns
  • Provide leadership for the Food and Beverage staff; promote a high standard of excellence and ensure member satisfaction

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage subordinate supervisors
  • Manage 30-40 employees
  • Assist in the for overall direction of department
  • Responsible for interviewing and selecting staff
  • Responsible for training
  • Responsible for planning and assigning work
  • Responsible for appraising performance
  • Responsible for rewarding and disciplining staff
  • Responsible for addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory
  • Responsible for scheduling employees and processing payroll time sheets
  • Responsible for designing incentive programs
  • Responsible for facilitating meetings
  • Prepare and maintain budgets

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • College degree preferred, but not required
  • 3-5 years of equivalent experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office systems

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
  • CMAA Membership

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand for lengthy periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employee is regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee is also required to stand and reach with hands and arms and regularly use hands and fingers.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:
It is Club policy not to hire any employee under the age of 16. Must be at least 18 years old in order to serve alcohol and at least 21 years old in order to tend bar.
