Assistant HR Coordinator
Under direct guidance, performs assigned tasks to maintain appropriate Flex Force staff levels at Hershey’s Chocolate World (HCW). Assists the Sr. HR Coordinator in the execution of the hiring and on-boarding process to meet the Flex Force staffing needs at HCW. Executes the hiring process and assigned tasks including reviewing applications, phone screens, scheduling interviews, making job offers, initiating credit/criminal background checks, completing reference checks, and scheduling pre-placement medical evaluations. Administers and monitors on-boarding process for new hires ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed and mandatory trainings have been scheduled. Handles the distribution of uniforms, name tags, and lockers to employees. Responsible for entry of employee data into the HR database and ensuring accurate data. Provides support to the general HCW Flex Force population and responds to employee and manager questions regarding HR policies and procedures. Serves as primary back-up to the Sr. Hr Coordinator and provides administrative support to the HR department.
Summary of major duties:
Hiring - Under direct guidance, executes the Flex Force hiring process for HCW. Processes applicant flow and new hire information in the Applicant Tracking System as necessary to meet the needs of the business and resolve issues. Conducts phone screens, schedules interviews, schedules pre-placement medical evaluations, makes offers, and initiates background checks. Represents HCW at job fairs and staffing meetings.
On-boarding - Processes new hires through the on-boarding stage. Ensures all necessary new hire paperwork is complete and monitors progress in the on-boarding system (SilkRoad). Schedules sign-up meetings with new hires to distribute uniforms, name tags, and lockers and schedules necessary new hire training (Code of Ethics / Discriminatory Harassment, etc).
Uniforms - Tracks and inventories employee uniforms. Conducts periodic physical counts to ensure proper levels are maintained and handles uniform laundering as needed.
SAP/HR data entry. Process promotions, pay changes, and other employee actions in the SAP HR system. Maintains hard copy employee files for all Flex Force and Associate employees. Ensures that employee profiles are correct and other related information is current and accurate.
Miscellaneous - Serves as primary backup to the Sr. Hr Coordinator and provides administrative support to the HR department at Chocolate World. Handles bulletin board postings and employee desk drops and participates as a HR representative on the Employee Activity Team. Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Ability to apply Excel, Word, in every day job duties as well as ability to quickly learn new systems (SAP HR, ATS, SilkRoad, etc)
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: Associate’s Degree in business curriculum or equivalent related experience.
Experience: 0 - 2 years experience in a Human Resources support role.
