Assistant Kennel Manager
This is a multi tasking, multi activity job. You will be on your feet most of the day. In fact our work desks are raised and do not have chairs. This is a seasonal business. Weekends and holiday periods are the busy times. You will be expected to be available seven days a week and all holidays but you will not normally work seven days a week. You will be able participate in scheduling.
You will be involved in all aspects of a boarding kennel operation. This will include but is not limited to:
*Answer phones to provide information to prospective clients.
*Check in / Check out clients.
*Maintain customer records by updating account information.
*Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
*Determine customer service requirements by maintaining contact with customers
*Improve customer service quality results.
*Assist in kennel cleaning,feeding operations.
*Assist in dog,cat exercising activities.
*Responsible for the health, and safety of boarding animals.
*Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process.
*Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
*Ensure operation of equipment and supply of inventory
*Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating personnel on the use of equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
*Resolve personnel problems ; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
*Participate in employee scheduling making sure enough labor is scheduled to meet demand.
*Participate in employee interview/hiring.
*Maintain filing system.
*Ensure adequate office supplies on hand.
*Participate in the bathing of dogs if required.
