At Tradebe, we create cost-effective ways for our clients to recycle hazardous waste. Our
priority is recycling industrial waste into beneficial products and substitute
fuels. To further our vision for the future, we created Tradebe
Environmental Services through the acquisition of several well-established
environmental services companies in North America. Tradebe sets the
industry standard by recycling approximately 60% of the waste we process.
The position of Assistant Legal Counsel will become the lead legal role for Tradebe in the USA. The role is a partner to the business to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and identifies andminimizes risks to the business.
The Assistant Legal Counsel will:
Work with business teams, draft and negotiate vendor and customer contracts.
Assist in general commercial matters.
Assist with litigation and dispute management, regulatory matters and employment issues.
Key member of acquisition team including managing the drafting and negotiation of asset or stock purchase
Take the key role in company risk management team for all insurance related items.
Interpret existing and new laws and regulations and provide guidance to business on legal and regulatory risk.
Identify and manage outside counsel responsibilities, results and costs.
Manage Corporate governance of general partnership, Corporation and LLC including formal ownership contracts and board
of directors meetings.
Draft and review bank financing agreements.
Lead the formulation and execution of legal objectives, strategies and procedures.
Maintain effective communication with worldwide legal located in Barcelona, Spain.
10+ years of experience in a corporation or law firm.
Experience advising executive management and supporting sales and operations.
Experience as assistant general counsel strongly preferred.
Ability to become lead general counsel required.
Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating supplier and sales contracts.
Experience managing outside counsel.
Qualified candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team environment.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated and have the ability to thrive under short deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Candidates with hazardous waste/ RCRA regulatory experience; experience in transportation, plant, union environments;
M&A experiences, and/or international, Spanish in particular and Spanish language preferred.
