Direct the daily operations of department to provide high quality products and superior customer service that enhances the guest's visit, maximizes revenue, and supports the mission of the Wildlife Conservation Society.
• Sales & Service
1. Manage the daily operation of the area to achieve budgeted sales
2. Ensure that all Associates provide superior customer service
3. Train each Associate to focus on the individual transaction so as to increase premium ticket sales
• Human Resources
1. Plan and manage hourly staffing to provide superior customer service within budgeted payroll
2. Train, motivate and direct seasonal supervisors and hourly staff
3. Provide a healthy and safe work environment
4. Be responsive to needs of Associates
5. Recognize and reward outstanding achievements
6. Comply with all Federal, State and Local labor law and equal opportunity requirements
• Presentation & Housekeeping
1. Ensure that parking, entry and attraction areas are properly set, operated and maintained for efficient and effective guest experience
2. Ensure that all work locations are neat, clean, organized and safe
• Product Management, Expense Control & Protection of Assets
1. Monitor and control cash to ensure that society funds are being handled in an accurate and secure manner that conforms to WCS policies and procedures
2. Manage the use of all assets (furniture, fixtures and equipment) to minimize repair and maximize longevity
4. Control ticketing inventory and maintain point-of-sale system use to ensure that visitor access is being properly monitored and recorded.
• Administration
1. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
2. Provide feedback to improve business operations
3. Perform other duties as assigned
• Reports to Area Manager
' Bachelor's degree
' Two to five years of management experience in sales and service, preferably in a fast paced, customer-focused, seasonal environment
' Outgoing personality with strong written and oral communication skills
' Excellent organizational skills, including time management and problem solving
' Demonstrated ability to balance numerous and varied tasks simultaneously
' Ability to work independently, without close supervision
' Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
