Position Title: Assistant Manager, Box Office

Department: Box Office

Reports To: Manager, Box Office

FLSA Status: Salary Exempt

This position is responsible for administering and supervising all box office functions. The assistant manager will serve as a liaison between various promoters, sports team representatives, event managers, and staff members.

Generate various sales reports and produce various financial records.

Facilitate in the processing and fulfillment of in-house ticket requests.

Aid in event creation, management, and in the coordination of ticket manifests.

Maintain fiscal control over daily reconciliation and proper cash handling procedures.

Enforce policies and procedures to encourage consistency on job performance of ticketing staff.

Recruitment, hiring, training and scheduling of ticket sellers.

Ensure accuracy of transactions and compliance with policies and procedures.

Assure courteous internal and external guest and client and customer service.

Assess Box Office resource needs- personnel, equipment and operational issues.

Talks with, listens to, or signals others to effectively exchange information; receives or gives direction and works effectively as part of a team by responding to assistance requests throughout the facility.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing is a must.
Written and verbal communication in Spanish would be an added bonus.
Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel required

Knowledge of basic computer programs such as (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to interact positively with diverse staff and clientele in a fast-paced environment.
Must have the ability to prioritize workload and solve problems quickly and react to difficult situations appropriately.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

College degree in a related field preferred.
At least 3 years Box Office experience preferred.

Must have a flexible schedule, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

The ability to demonstrate dependability and reliability by being punctual, working assigned and varying shifts, and completing responsibilities in a timely manner are required.

Must have the ability to stand, sit, crouch, and bend throughout the course of daily activities.

Ability to work in various climates based on the environment.

Must have the legal right to work in the US.

Must have the ability to stand or sit in one location for a minimum of four hours at a time.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Must have the ability to read, write, and understand English in a working environment.

Must be able to pass a criminal background check, employment check, and a drug test prior to employment.
Ability to adapt and work effectively in various parts of the facility.
