Assist management in analysis and research in designing, implementing and ongoing maintenance of compensation and performance management programs, ensuring HCA maintains competitive advantage in attracting, motivating and retaining talent. Provides technical and benchmark research assistance in areas of total rewards strategies to include global compensation, long term incentive and executive compensation.
Essential functions of the position:
Assists with developing, enhancing and administering compensation programs, including annual salary administration program, promotions, performance review process and annual bonus programs.
Provides support and assistance with day-to-work activities and achievements of annual HR initiatives as well as technical and benchmark research assistance in areas of total rewards strategies to include global compensation, 401k administration, long term incentive and executive compensation. Will provide project and program support for implementation, enhancement, long term maintenance and/or administration of any new related programs.
Assists Management with analysis to support program enhancements and the maintenance of company compensation objectives and competitive position in the marketplace. Conducts research and participates in projects related to new compensation trends, best practices and new innovative ideas to support the “Destination Employer” mission.
Assist Management in centralization and ongoing support for short-term incentive programs. May partner with business unit management for design, communication, education, and/or implementation of the incentive plans and policy activities. As needed assists in ensuring appropriate documentation for audit, risk management, and plan participant communications requirements. Assists in the evaluation and/or design of processes, business rules and/or methodologies for operations and/or systems related to incentive compensation. May validate incoming data for accuracy, validity and timing requirements and other related duties in program administration.
Provides technical support for systems and applications related to administering incentive compensation programs, salary administration systems and performance management systems. Participates in system upgrades, implementations and process enhancement efforts.

Secondary functions of the position:
Application of compensation theories and practices to abstract challenges and problems
Knowledge of incentive models, state and federal laws pertaining to incentive, internal audit principles, and Human Resource guidelines.
Working knowledge of applicable local, state and federal regulations affecting compensation programs
Advanced working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint a Must; Access, a plus
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly
Must be highly analytical and detailed oriented
Significant agility to support fast-paced high growth organization and project scopes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work successfully with internal and external organizations
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Human Resources, Business or Finance or equivalent work experience
Certified Compensation Professional is highly desired
Five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant work experience in designing and implementing compensation programs
Executive Compensation and Global Compensation work experience highly desired
