ASSISTANT MANAGER, CORPORATE REPORTING
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, CPA Required
3 – 5 years of relevant accounting/auditing/reporting experience with public companies
Strong working knowledge of Excel required
Ability to effectively interact with senior management
Excellent analytical and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while keeping manager apprised of progress and issues
Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables
Previous Hyperion and/or SAP experience a plus, but not required
Previous experience with XBRL a plus, but not required.
Overview of Position:
This position will be the primary resource for review and analysis of business implications related to new accounting pronouncements, working closely with management to assess the impact to the Company and present proposed accounting implications to senior management. The Assistant Manager will work on special projects as well as provide support during the quarter end close process (focusing on analytical reviews, complex accounting areas and compliance with external reporting requirements, including XBRL).
This position will report to the Manager, Corporate Reporting.
Lead point of contact for accounting/reporting related projects and/or transactions (e.g., M&A, implementation of new accounting standards, process reviews)
Monitor the activities of all accounting standard setting bodies i.e., SEC, FASB, AICPA, EITF, and IASB.
Prepare technical accounting updates for senior management and the audit committee.
Ensure that new accounting pronouncements are properly reflected in the financial statements.
Assist in the preparation and review of the Company's 1934 Act Periodic reports, including XBRL.
Timely completion of assigned ad hoc projects including insights and recommendations.
