Assistant Manager, Distribution Planning
~ Position is responsible for providing various support functions to the Connected Car team in both launch activities and post-launch ongoing program operations.
~ Key responsibilities include: reporting, department budget, program business case, invoice and settlement statement validation, managing subscription and financial data and resolving anomalies, purchasing and financial activities, and developing requirement documents.
~ This position supports HMA by provided highly detailed and accurate sales forecasts for HMMA Production.
Planning responsibilities include:
~ Generating Sales Forecasts on a monthly basis for Domestic production and HMC.
~ Maintenance of sales forecasting documentation.
~ Analysis of Sales Trends.
~ Submitting weekly Priority Vehicles to Build to HMMA and HMC.
~ Becoming a subject matter expert regarding the APS II system.
~ Generating Regional Recommended Production Order Guides.
~ Support Distribution Planning Manager in preparing, analyzing and finalizing Month Baseline Forecast and Demand Management on APS II.
~ Conduct in-depth sales forecast reviews in order to increase accuracy.
~ Develop analytical methods and procedures to continually improve forecast accuracy.
~ Submit and track monthly production forecast accuracies with actual firm orders submitted.
~ Dialogue with HMA counterparts.
~ Miscellaneous duties as assigned by management that include but are not limited to price testing, manifesting & receiving, order tracking & input, system management, and regional interface.
~ Input and implementation of data in support of new model launches.
~ Input and Testing of new model launches and pricing changes.
~ Generate and validate the data on the Monroney Label, Dealer Invoice, and MSO.
~ Generate monthly vehicle production orders.
~ Analyze Production Order Inventory and Back Orders.
~ Ensure accuracy of data base and system requirements for vehicles system.
~ Dialogue with HMA Internal and External Departments and GLOVIS, MOBIS, and HISNA.
~ Strong analytical skills including proficiency in Excel and Word applications essential.
~ Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of QMF and/or MS Access are critical to success.
~ Detail oriented, excellent organizational and communication skills.
~ Basic math skills
~ Organized individual with strong attention to detail.
~ Able to handle multiple responsibilities.
~ Good interpersonal skills, oral communication skills and writing skills.
~ Self directed team player.
~ Ability to develop and analyze reports.
~ Manage competing priorities in a time pressured environment.
~ Ability to interact with vendors, clients and field personnel effectively in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
~ Five to six years of experience with three years in vehicle distribution highly desirable.
~ Field, dealer contact experience is also highly desirable.
~ Forecasting experience is a plus.
~ Must be a high school graduate.
~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
~ Master’s degree a plus
