The Assistant Manager, Business Affairs, Focus Features International will be the junior attorney supporting the film sales team of the International department.
Draft and negotiate agreements for international distribution deals with independent film distributors and/or distributors’ counsel.
Manage and oversee the contracts and sales database.
Work with the international tax team to complete and file any international tax applications or other documents required by international withholding tax treaties.
Prepare affidavits, Copyright Certifications, Certificates of Authorization, and other similar documents for territories where documentation is required before distributors can enforce their rights against pirates or release a film.
Oversee invoicing and contract execution for all deals.
Generate legal summaries and other reports for third party producers and various contract summary reports for internal use during film markets.
JD from an ABA accredited law school
Excellent analytical skills
Willingness to travel to international film markets if necessary
Ability to communicate clearly with executives at all levels
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Member of the New York Bar
