Summary / Responsibilities - Assistant Manager:
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of an assigned Flyers convenience store engaged in selling gasoline and general lines of merchandise. This leadership position includes maintaining company image, profitability, guest service and safety. Direct management of a team of Cashiers is required. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager assumes responsibility for the store.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The following is a broad overview of the positions responsibilities. It is not an all-inclusive or an exhaustive list.
The Assistant Store Manager performs or assists the Store Manager in the following responsibilities:

Store Operations: Monitors store inventory and ensures items are in stock and appropriate gasoline levels are maintained. Executes marketing and promotional activities. Verifies bank deposits and appropriate cash levels. Completes logs to account for cash receipts and store merchandise. Drives to make bank deposits and to report competitors gasoline prices.
Leadership: Responsible for direct reports in regards to daily operating procedures that includes; supervision, training, scheduling, training, etc.
Customer Service: Maintaining strong customer service is essential. This includes promoting company standards by providing guests with prompt and courteous service, answering questions, and resolving any customer issues in a professional manner.
Compliance: Become knowledgeable about emergency procedures. Complete environmental and other necessary certifications within allotted time after being hired. Ensure compliance with established security, sales, safety, and record keeping procedures and practices.

Must possess a valid drivers license and appropriate automobile insurance.
Associates Degree AND Six (6) months to two (2) years of related experience OR a equivalent combination of education and experience.
Flexibility to manage a 24-hour operation and have the flexibility to work day, swing, or night shifts.
