Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for achieving planned sales and profit levels for the restaurant through the implementation, management, and upholding of company policies, procedures, programs, performance standards and values. Provides direction to the front-of-the-house staff, ensuring execution of all employee duties to guarantee maximum guest satisfaction and a quality work environment.
DUTIES
Ensures that all service systems are executed properly in a clean, safe, and friendly environment, according to all established procedures, performance standards and company values.
Ensures that all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner according to all established procedures, standards and and company values.
Ensures the restaurant’s compliance to productivity and service standards with a sufficient number of well-trained and productive employees.
Build sales by focusing the staff on image and service actions to enhance the guest’s perception of the restaurant.
Ensures proper management of the facility and equipment through preventive maintenance, energy conservation, repairs, security measures, and adherence to safety and sanitation requirements.
Required, under certain circumstances, to perform/assist all functions for all positions in the restaurant.
Conducts employment activities to include staffing (hire/separation responsibilities), scheduling, training, and conducting performance reviews with all front-of-the-house personnel, as well as recommending salary increases and issuing employee corrective actions.
Ensures accurate financial data to include: payroll, cash and receipts, productivity, and operating expenses.
Anticipates, identifies and corrects system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. Responsible for all communication with regard to system breakdowns and deficiencies.
Ensures the thorough training and development of all non-exempt front-of-the-house personnel supervised, and the documentation thereof.
Attends restaurant manager meetings and other scheduled meetings; makes presentations as requested. Responsible for meeting established objectives during periods of supervision in the General Manager’s absence.
Required Skills
>Excellent verbal communication skills and leadership presence
Ability to train, coach, develop, and retain staff
Basic business math and inventory management skills
Computer literate with ability to use internet, e-mail, Word and Excel spreadsheets in a professional setting
Ability to multi-task to manage labor costs, service systems, food quality and presentation during a shift
Understanding of how P&L is used to control expenses

ThIorough understanding of how to use the P&L statement to implement postive change in restaurant operations
Analytical, solution oriented approach to business and operations problems
Ability to motivate and manage employee performance consistently and fairly, using praise and corrective actions as appropriate

Desired Education
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business or related area
