Associates Degree in Nutrition or Food Service Management
5+ years (10+ w/no degree) experience managing a School Lunch program with experience in developing and leading teams, customer service, inventory management, food safety and logistics.
Complete understanding of Culinary Principles
Must be ServSafe certified.
Must have own reliable vehicle.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Complete Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Programs and able to learn new programs

Job Description:
Area Supervisor needed for K-12 Northern NJ school district account. Responsibilities include merchandising, culinary training, safety training and the ability to manage multiple locations.

> Experience in a union environment a plus. Knowldge of school lunch program is necessary; P/L management, food ordering and inventory control experience and nutrition are required.
Familiarity with USDA NSLP regulations is a must.
Proven experience developing and leading teams and creating a positive work environment. Excellent communication skills and follow through are a pre-requisite.
Must be able to train staff in areas of food safety, customer service, batch cooking and USDA child nutrition rules and regs.
Experience with the CRE/SMI process is preferable.
Superior written and oral communications skills necessary.
This position requires a proven track record with building solid client relationships.
