Support and back up to the Master Production Schedule and support the management of overall materials planning to enable effective and efficient manufacturing and control inventory
Plans the replenishment of materials to support the production schedule, while controlling inventory turns and materials shortages
Coordinates in-bound materials with suppliers, traffic, and the dry warehouse ensuring supply-chain efficiency (managing expedites, de-expedites and in-bound freight costs.)
Sets up and maintains purchase orders, resolves purchase order and invoice issues
Manage the timing of material revisions
Maintains accurate SAP data regarding Bill of Materials associated with all ingredients and packaging within responsibility
Maintains and completes all reporting and filing associated with materials required for production
Conducts material planning and inventory management for assigned raw materials
Manages test material planning process, to include monitoring test material inventories, purchasing materials as required, following through to delivery and notification of arrival.
Provides support and assistance to the production scheduling process
Is able to fill in for Master Production Scheduler to generate efficient production requirements on the part of the plant
Provides clerical and administrative assistance in order to ensure smooth flow of operations. This includes organizing and maintaining adequate filing systems, preparing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail and faxes, monitoring and assisting or forwarding telephone calls as needed in a professional and courteous manner, arranging meetings, typing as needed.
Researches and prepares reports, graphs, and presentation materials as needed
Maintains effective communication with superiors, co-workers and other departments, receiving and communicating verbal information accurately and timely, responding to requests for information and materials in a timely manner, and coordinating processing of incoming and outgoing written information.
Work with plant materials and warehousing team to maintain accurate inventory data and bills of materials
Improves ability to work with software that will streamline the operation of the office and improve presentations, reports, and memos
What do I need to be considered a candidate?
Associates degree in Business or related educational field; Bachelor degree - Concentration in Business Administration or Operations Management preferred
Administrative, office, and organizational skills
Two to three years' experience in administration
Purchasing or Inventory Control related experience preferred
Demonstrated skills and effective work habits in an office where there is a heavy workload of data entry and personal computer use.
Job specific training, APICS certification preferred
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook
SAP experience preferred
