Job Summary/Basic Functions
The position is responsible for assisting in the successful planning, direction and administration of all aspects of the University's NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Program.
Bachelors degree; Knowledge of NCAA rules required. Required (may obtain and maintain immediately following hire): CPR/First Aid, NCAA Rules and Regulations certification. Abilities / Skills: Computer skills; Knowledge and adherence to NCAA, Conference, State, Institutional, and Department rules and regulations; Motivation skills; Commitment to working with multi-cultural populations and have an awareness of issues affecting women and minorities; Organizational and Management Skills; Supervision (e.g. Athletes, Student Assistant Coaches, Summer Staff); Public Speaking / Fundraising; Physical Fitness; Counseling/Advising Skills
Combination of Division I collegiate playing/coaching experience preferred.

Salary and Benefits
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits available include health, life, and dental insurance, as well as a selection of several defined contribution retirement programs. Dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed as 0.5FTE or above are entitled to and eligible for Dependent Tuition Grants. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.
