Lesley University is looking for an Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach. The successful candidate must possess a solid knowledge of tennis. Must plan practice sessions and have the necessary skills to develop and train the team. This position will aid in recruitment and off-season work-out program. Playing experience at the collegiate is level preferred. The Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach will report directly to the Head Tennis coach. This person will also be responsible for carrying out all activities necessary to accomplish the objectives of this sport within the guidelines of the NCAA Division III and the New England Collegiate Conference.
Duties include but not limited to:
Develop structured practices to meet certain goals.
Teach fundamentals of tennis
Counsel student-athletes in good sportsmanship, sport participation, personal development, and academic success.
Travel and recruit locally or out of state.
Assist in any other duties as instructed by Head Coach.
The position is part-time and year round. The Athletics department is looking to hire immediately.
Bachelor's Degree required; Previous successful coaching and/or playing experience on the college or high school level; Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; Experience developing a collegiate tennis team practice plan; Experience recruiting collegiate student athletes is required; and Knowledge of NCAA Division III and New England Collegiate Conference rules and regulations, as well as a valid U.S. driver's license required.
