Under the direction of the Head Tennis Coach, the Assistant Men's Tennis Coach is responsible for providing assistance to the Head Coach in all aspects of the development and administration of a successful NCAA Division III Intercollegiate Men's Sports Program. The program will be conducted in accordance with all University and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules, regulations, and policies.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Teaching and developing sport specific skills, in a successful, safe, and prudent manner.
Developing, presenting, and maintaining up-to-date lesson plans of pre-season/season practice drills and procedures
Recruiting student-athletes of the highest caliber.
This is a part-time (20 hours per week), 9-month position paid by stipend on a bi-weekly basis.
We are currently seeking candidates with a B.S. or B.A., preferably from an accredited four-year collegiate institution. Thre to five years of experience in coaching and knowledge of the fundamentals, tactics, and strategies of intercollegiate tennis and the ability to recruit talented players for the program are required. In addition, some travel is necessary and a drivers' license is preferred. Candidates must also have the ability to be exposed to weather and to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
