The Assistant Pizzeria Manager has direct responsibility for managing and leadership of all aspects of the restaurant operation. This includes, but is not limited to; health, safety, nutrition, menu planning, scheduling, staffing, supervision, record keeping, food and related purchasing, facility maintenance and upkeep, youth internships, coordination with DOL Grant opportunities.
Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Associates degree in culinary arts or hotel management and two years progressive supervisory food service experience. High School diploma/GED and five years progressive supervisory food service experience in a restaurant, residential, school, or camp setting.
Experience with working within the New York State Health Department Regulations.
Strong computer skills.
Able to work in a fast paced and demanding atmosphere as demonstrated by work history.
A strong team player.
Ability to teach to all levels of staff and youth.
Positive adult role model to youth and staff.
Attention to detail.
Strong budgeting skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds
CPR/First Aid certified
Serve Safe certified
