The Assistant Digital Planner coordinates everyday media operations and requires working closely with all staff levels within Initiative Interactive, including other departments within the company, external vendors and business partners in the planning, execution and administration of media activities on behalf of our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the online media team with day-to-day operations, including media research and analysis, planning, buying, campaign administration and reporting
  • Interact with outside vendors and external business partners regarding various facets of client media activity, such as assembly of media authorizations, billing, insertion orders and report procurements
  • Assist in the development of tactical components of client media campaigns, such as flowcharts, spreadsheets and budget summaries
  • Assist in daily campaign administration, including tracking, report preparation and trafficking of creative units
  • Ownership of vital documentation, binders and maintenance of media library
  • Primary initial point of contact with media vendors and publishers

Qualifications:
  • Strong interest in interactive media/ marketing
  • Bachelors degree in communications, social sciences, or closely related field
  • High comfort level with technology: PC proficient and familiarity with MS Office, Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Experience with ad-serving technology such as Atlas DMT and DoubleClick DART will be highly advantageous
  • An inclination to enjoy math and number play; formal coursework in math, statistics and computational analytics a plus
  • Energetic, organized and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Prior work or internship experience in an advertising agency or similar environment, interactive experience highly desirable
