We would like to announce an opening for an Assistant Plant Manager in our Northfield, MA Plant. The successful candidate will be assisting with the overall day-to-day operations and report to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities include:
Coordinate with field to verify readiness for production and periodically monitor production flow to job.

Plan and coordinate trucking requirements.

Mentor and train foremen in certain aspects of construction operations.

Advise plant crew of next day’s production and/or maintenance schedule.

Plan, monitor, and manage start-ups and shut-downs to minimize costs.

Monitor plant rate of production.

Assume responsibilities of all plant operations in the absence of Plant Manager.

Manage and order materials as needed.

Communicate and coordinate with QC to understand mix requirements while understanding actual mix needs from customers.

Monitor and assist in plant maintenance and inspection.

Hire, train, and counsel employees as necessary.

Enforce safety requirements throughout plant.

Required Skills

Qualifications :
5-10 years in a related capacity or environment.

Knowledge of EPA, MSDS, OSHA, Lock out/tag out, and confined space requirements.

Exercise excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment that may require long hours, including nights and weekends.

Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Carry out the job duties and responsibilities while maintaining Lane Values.

BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management a plus
