Job Summary/Basic Functions
Full-time tenure track assistant professor with responsibilities to include the following: teaching and advising Master, Educational Specialist, and Education Doctoral degree students and principal and administrative licensure students; assisting with supervision of doctoral research/dissertations; conducting and publishing research; participating in program development; collaborating with other higher education institutions, P-12 schools, and other educational organizations.
Qualified applicants must have the following:
The ability to teach P-12 educational administration content areas, such as P-12 administration, leadership, organizations, human resources, supervision, policy, and school and/or district level leadership.
A record of scholarship and publications appropriate for Assistant Professor.
An earned doctorate from a nationally or regionally accredited institution of higher education in educational leadership or a related field.
Administrative experience in P-12 schools/districts.
The ability to serve on doctoral dissertations.
Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.

Salary and Benefits
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits available include health, life, and dental insurance, as well as a selection of several defined contribution retirement programs. Dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed as 0.5FTE or above are entitled to and eligible for Dependent Tuition Grants. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.
