Summary of Position:
This is a full-time tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate will teach graduate and undergraduate Respiratory Care courses, serve as a faculty advisor for graduate and undergraduate students, and serve as a faculty advisor and principal investigator for graduate and undergraduate students working on research projects. This faculty member must also maintain a continuous scholarly agenda, demonstrated through publications in refereed journals and grant awards; deliver courses in both synchronous and asynchronous distance education formats; must be able to teach, day, evening, and weekend courses; and engage in professional, university, and public service.
Master's degree required; earned doctorate preferred. A record of, or strong potential for, distinguished scholarship and effective teaching and mentoring at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist and hold or be eligible for licensure in Ohio. Must have a minimum of four years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist and have experience in Respiratory Care education. Must be a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care.
Online teaching experience; development of online courses; evidence of funded grants and scholarly (referred) publications; active involvement in the American Association for Respiratory Care; and Quality Matters certification.
