9-month faculty position is available in the family nurse practitioner program on the Biltmore Campus of the School of Nursing at Western Carolina University.
Position responsibilities include teaching courses face-to-face and online courses, supervising outlying clinical sites, participating on committees, advising students, and other university related activities with time allocated for required clinical practice.
The qualified candidate will possess an understanding of rural and multicultural health issues, excellent clinical skills and teaching ability, and a record of scholarly development.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities/Competencies:
Minimum Training & Experience Requirements
MINIMUM (Tenure-Track): Family Nurse Practitioner Certification, eligibility for RN licensure in NC, and a doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited institution and two years prior experience in direct patient care as an RN.
Fixed Term option:
Family Nurse Practitioner Certification. Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program or a BSN and a master's degrees in a related field; eligibility for RN licensure in NC; and two years prior experience in direct patient care as an RN.
Preference will be given to those applicants with the following training and experience:
Administrative experience preferred.
