Job Description: The Department of English at East Carolina University (http://www.ecu.edu/english) is seeking to fill a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, specializing in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), to begin August 12, 2013.
Candidates should have expertise in the field of TESOL and be prepared to teach in the areas of language testing and quantitative research methods. Secondary interest in other areas of applied linguistics and/or sociolinguistics is a plus. The successful candidate is expected to support and contribute to teaching, research, and innovative curriculum development in graduate and undergraduate programs. Appropriate service to the university, community, and profession is expected.
Minimum Qualifications: PhD or equivalent from an appropriately accredited insitution by date of appointment is required, and candidates must display a record of scholarship.
