The individual will teach undergraduate mathematics courses and pedagogical methods for teaching mathematics in grades 6-12. Advises students seeking educational certification; supervises students in educational field experiences, and serves on various institutional governing committees addressing policies and procedures affecting degree programs that include an education tract; may perform other related duties as required. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications; excellent benefits.
An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) from an NCATE accredited institution in Mathematics Education and an undergraduate or master's degree in Mathematics. A minimum of three (3) years teaching experience in grades 6-12 in mathematics or a related discipline is required. Must be proficient using technology in teaching and have experience using e-learning and other online or distance education tools. Background and/or credit check may be required.
