The position requires teaching quantitative research courses in the MPH program, mentoring students, and playing an active role in the development of the MPH program, particularly the Population Health Research & Evaluation specialization. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to establish an independent research program that contributes to the mission of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences through the outcomes research initiative, with 50% effort devoted to contracts with a large, regional insurance company to design comparative effectiveness and other policy-related studies, analyze large longitudinal data sets including claims data, and publish academic articles, policy briefs, and reports

Candidates must have an earned, relevant doctoral degree and demonstrated expertise in health services research, health outcomes research. A strong background in research methods, advanced statistics, predictive modeling, and econometrics are required. Postdoctoral training is highly desired.
