The Department of World Languages invites applications for a tenure-track position of ESL and TESOL; the appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor with a start in Fall 2013.

A successful candidate will have experience and show promise for research in the area of ESL program curriculum development and assessment. Doctoral candidate with ABD status having a concentration in TESOL, Second Language Acquisition, Applied Linguistics, or Curriculum and Instruction with a strong ESL and TESOL background required by date of hire. Teaching responsibilities of this position include courses in our ESL, MA-TESOL, TESOL minor, and TESOL Graduate Certification programs. This position also involves supervision of student teachers and administrative duties. Knowledge of a foreign language, a minimum of three years of experience in teaching ESL courses, and one year of overseas EFL teaching experience required.
