Eastern Kentucky University is accepting applications for a nine month, full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position with the Department of American Sign Language and Interpreter Education to begin August 15, 2012. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate ASL, Deaf Studies and/or Interpreter Education classes. Continuous satisfactory performance in teaching, service and scholarly activities required of all candidates. Other possible duties, such as involvement with workshops or developing materials, will depend upon the needs of the ASLIE Department.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Master's degree from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution in either Interpreting, ASL, Linguistics, deaf Studies, Deaf Education, or Sociology.
Minimum Experience Qualifications: Qualification Equivalencies:
No equivalencies.
Desired Qualifications
Doctorate preferred.
Familiarity with the Signing Naturally curriculum preferred.
