The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 15, 2013. The successful candidate is expected to teach 12 hours per semester, including courses ranging from content math education courses for pre-service teachers to graduate courses; establish a record of scholarship and publication; and contribute to departmental, college, and university service. A Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Mathematics Education or a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field with a specialization or emphasis in mathematics education is required by the start of employment.

Minimum Experience Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants with a strong background in math content courses, essentially equivalent to at least an MS degree in mathematics, that also have K-12 teaching experience.
