The Department of Modern Languages and Culture in the College of Arts & Sciences at Seattle University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Spanish beginning September 1, 2013. The ideal candidate will also be a specialist with a strong and developing program of research and scholarship in Twentieth Century Latin American Literature and Cultures, with demonstrated contributions to an interdisciplinary program (such as International Studies and Latin American Studies).

Primary duties include teaching all levels of Spanish undergraduate languages, literature and culture courses; research and scholarship; university and department service.

Minimum Qualifications
PhD in Spanish Language and Literature or related field; at least one academic year of full-time, college-level Spanish teaching; demonstrated teaching excellence in Spanish.
