Position Description:
RUSSIAN/SOVIET HISTORY. The History Department at the University of Chicago invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Russian/Soviet History, to begin Autumn Quarter 2013. Field of specialization is open. Teaching responsibilities will include graduate and undergraduate courses, including the Core sequence on Russian Civilization. Candidates are expected to have PhD in hand by July 1, 2013.

Consideration of applications will begin October 1, 2012 and will continue until the position is filled or the application deadline of January 15, 2013.
