Position Summary
The Department of Physiology and Neurobiology (www.pnb.uconn.edu) in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, invites applications for TWO tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level available fall, 2013. These are full-time, tenure-track positions with the anticipated start date of August 23, 2013. The successful candidates will be expected to maintain independent and vigorous research programs and participate in Departmental graduate and undergraduate teaching. We encourage applications from individuals studying fundamental physiological or neural processes at the molecular, cellular or systems level. The candidates' primary academic appointment, laboratory, and teaching responsibilities will be within the Department of Physiology and Neurobiology at the main campus in Storrs. The University of Connecticut is a Research I public university and has campuses at Avery Point, Hartford, Stamford, Torrington, Waterbury, and West Hartford.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or M.D. in physiology, neurobiology, or related fields and completion of at least two years of postdoctoral training are required. Candidates must have a strong record of peer-reviewed publications and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: We encourage applicants who use innovative approaches to study physiological and/or neurobiological systems that complement the existing strengths of the department.

These are two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level available fall, 2013.
